A still underrated fact that is confirmed over and over is that, behind the scenes, all of these people absolutely fucking hate each other.

When I think "where the vast majority of Americans actually are," I think about the millionaire lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein & Harvey Weinstein & Donald Trump who was recently in the news for threatening to sue a pierogi seller in Martha's Vineyard, where he has one of his homes.

Sure! Mastercard, Visa, Stripe + Paypal are further restricting what kinds of perfectly legal adult content you can buy through their processor (they cracked down on itchio and steam over the summer, not to mention Patreon a few years ago). We're tired of them acting like dictators instead of tools.

I have no idea if Mead was influenced by it, but its a good real-world example of this aesthetic. The tower was completed in 1972. I can't find an exact date for this specific painting, though it may have been one of Mead's late 60's/early 70's works.

This famous Syd Mead painting of a futuristic home has become fairly well known.

Less well known, it seems, is the real world building whose interiors most closely resemble it. The Nagakin capsule tower, whose (theoretically) modular apartments had a similar look.
