π§΅If youβve been too busy paying attention to Barron, Miller and Watson then itβs time to give Lyall Cameron the spotlight he deserves.
With Luke McCowan leaving in the summer heβs really kicked his performance levels up a notch.
Letβs look at him ππ»
What are your thoughts on Lyall Cameron?
It will be interesting to see if he stays in Dundee in January, I can imagine thereβll be clubs from outwith Scotland that will have their eyes on him.
On a free/cut-price deal, heβs a no brainer signing for most clubs.
So, what are his strengths?
- Ball carrying
- Box crashing
- Chance creation
- Tenacity
- Vision
His ability to be in the right place at the right time to get shots away would make plenty of strikers jealous!
Heβs a quality player and one that can step up a level.
His excellent numbers donβt stop there though;
Joint 4th in G/A
Joint 3rd in chances created Per90
His performances have helped Dundee get to 5th in the table, level with Motherwell who have a game in hand though.
Luke McCowan scored ten and had five assists in 37 Premiership appearances last season.
In 15 appearances, so far, Cameron has four goals and four assists and is on track to eclipse McCowanβs impressive numbers!
Heβs 14th in the goal scoring charts and joint 4th in assists.
Dundee sold Luke McCowan late in the summer window and didnβt replace him, probably because they didnβt have the chance!
This gave Lyall Cameron the chance to become the main man and heβs definitely grabbed it!
In 21 total appearances he has seven goals and nine assists.

I think thereβs an arguement to be made that, since he came back into the side, Nico Raskin has been Rangers best player this season.
Thought he was superb AGAIN last night, covers every blade of grass and carries the ball so well.
What have you made of his recent form?
His pace and power allow him to get into good positions and drive up and down the wing.
However, itβs his end product in those areas thatβs holding him back from kicking on to another level.
I really think he can be a top full back.
What are your thoughts on Max Johnston?
