I took a class on globalization and the professor talked about how the US has only ever been in five “wars” because only five times has there been a formal declaration, but that the US military has essentially never NOT been deployed in some conflict. This is just rhetoric, by which I mean a lie.

Yeah I think it’s reasonable to say that women have been treated poorly by the league overall (to say nothing of the absolute cluster of its handling of & attitudes toward the W) such that “protect women!” in this case deserves some level of critical scrutiny
