Yep. Basically certain powers have worked to drown both systems to make a private architecture seem more appealing, and it's been long enough that people don't remember what it was like before (in the case of the NHS)

This is the part that maybe bugs me the most (beyond that it happens at all) - any other profession, if you screw up your job that badly so that you cannot continue working there, it usually also involves losing your license or otherwise being unhirable even if you swap states.

What they almost assuredly haven't really considered is the impact of rising prices on the actions of other countries. We could see retaliation of various sorts from major trading partners in an effort to force the US to stop.

To be clear: the Trump administration *does not care* about the impact of rising gas prices on Americans, and all of their actions point to them not caring about how decisions might impact electability.

I wonder if it's the 'grassroots is tired of Democratic consultant machine' effect.

They're also talking about taking over Iran's oil like they did Venezuela, with the money kept offshore. Rising prices aren't a bug, they're a feature.

Yep, or they got enough complaints. There's a lot of companies that try to stay out of politics by allowing basically anyone to do events, but they will put their foot down if there's enough complaints (or you treat the staff poorly)

Im also not religious and in many ways anti-religion, but pastoral care like hospital chaplains is almost always completely wonderful and a good spot of humanity in places where it's needed the most. I have so much respect for people who do that kind of service

I keep wondering if I missed a tick box or something, but when I got my sample it was the Democratic ticket but when I went to vote it was just the Raleigh at large seats.

I'm not a big believer in work camps, but I feel like it might be the only appropriate avenue for rehabilitation for a lot of these ICE guys. They need to experience justice, but they're also likely to be at high risk in gen pop. Making them train under experience crop pickers though 🤔
