Fair enough, but two points:
1) they don't do more than a phone can. Its how people use them, not the tech itself.
2) careful you don't sideswipe people who need chunky glasses to see. I've already encountered this once going to take a test. My frames don't even look like any of them.

A strip of border planting near a brick wall. Several clumps of dark and lighter purple crocus are spread throughout haphazardly, with clumps of greenery indicating further bulb based blooms on the way of other varieties. Its all a bit disheveled and untidy.
I grew up in FL which isn't kind to bulbs, but I now live in a place where they can naturalize.. this border got about six different things a few years ago and now it's a surprise. Perhaps one day these purple crocus will dominate the entire thing.

I hope you're right, but I'll also point out the white that was Trump 1 wasn't indelible enough to prevent a Trump 2 on the face of a torrent of internet disinformation etc.
I'm very worried when I talk to people here and they think ICE looks great.

Trump doesn't have a plan for this other than swinging his dick around. Hegseth's plan is to kill as many Muslims as he can because he's a neocrusading monster. Huckabee's plan is to end the world for Jesus. There are plans, they're just not military plans, war plans, strategic or tactical plans.

What? No more plain chicken breast with broccoli? Did they have to stop that because that's what the new admin wants Americans to eat cheaply (along with a corn tortilla and 'other item')?
It always seemed to be that or cans of tuna. Lean protein gainsssss

This sounds very familiar. I won't go back unless I decide to go super short and that's unlikely with my hair texture. Maybe to get it dyed a funky color (I don't care about the gray, but purple might be fun)
I always do a messy bun, why bother paying for an expensive haircut?

Greens overtake Labour in sensational poll
The Greens have polled higher than Labour in the latest poll by YouGov, which puts them only two points off Reform UK and five ahead of the governing party.
While I suspect there may be an element of a post by-election bump here, it should be a warning sign for Labour that their hostile policies towards asylum seekers, migrants in general, trans and non-binary individuals, disabled people etc aren't winning them any votes.

The choice is stark. Reform are the party of foreign wars and high bills.
The Greens want de-escalation and energy security through renewables. Solar and wind prices don't fluctuate when rogue US presidents launch illegal bombing campaigns.

In this case, it meant a critical part of the message went unnoticed.

Screenshot of news article printed in Yahoo from Jewish Insider: βPlatner faced blowback this week for boosting a social media comment about a looming war with Iran by Stew Peters, a neo-Nazi influencer who has frequently espoused antisemitic tropes and engaged in Holocaust denial. Platner's team said the post was made in error and "immediately" removed it after learning it elevated a "despicable account."
In late January, however, Platner sat for a lengthy online interview with Nate Cornacchia, a retired Green Beret who has also promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories. Near the end of their hour-long conversation, Platner, a fellow military veteran, called himself "a longtime fan" of Cornacchia's YouTube channel, "Valhalla VFT," and said it was "an absolute pleasure being" on the show.β
Screenshots of the Valhalla VFT YouTube channel thumbnails include vile racist images of the βSomali fraud scandalβ and βrobberies and lootingβ due to SNAP benefits being cut, depicting black people robbing stores
Graham Platner, the guy who had to cover his Nazi tattoo to save his senate campaign in Maine, went on the YouTube channel βValhalla VFTβ in January where he said heβs a βlongtime fan of the show.β Check out these vile racist thumbnails from the channel & reporting on the antisemitic host.

Again, I have to ask: what do people in power think the UK actually *makes*? Because we don't build stuff any more. You and your predecessors deliberately shifted us towards being a service economy a generation ago. All we have going for us is our art, music, educational establishments...

So, a person close to me recently started a new job, which has its own Outlook setup. For some reason, by default, it was collapsing parts of emails that were the NEW part of the message.
Also accepting an invite with an email auto archives the associated email, which might have had a message in it

Reporters should ask the administration -- if a foreign power bombed the United States, would they expect the American people to respond by suddenly demanding the Trump administration be removed from power, or would there be a different reaction?
Especially if the bombs had hit a girls' school?

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.
Sahar Delijani, Iranian author
I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own governmentβs repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.
I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.
Sahar Delijani said it best:

If the goal was to soften Iran's governmental stance towards 'the West' this was the *stupidest* way to try to accomplish that. I don't think that was the goal.
Theyve radicalized the region for the next several decades, which means an enemy to fight. That was the goal.
Evil.
