The downside to being a strong candidate for a high level position is that the interview process is so extensive and thorough that it requires quite a bit of commitment, and it feels so daunting at times like this when I have to think about doing it all over again from the start.

I've been interviewing for a job for a month and a half, have gone through 5 rounds of interviews and several writing samples, and I heard back today that I didn't make the cut for the final round. 😔
