He's literally the best option on the market when you look at potential upside. Only reason not to like the pick is if you, for some reason, have no faith that he has a ceiling or just want to be positively abject. For me, the importance of taking the shot is bigger than protecting draft position.

There are quite a few people who are stating, with a good deal of certainty, that what we see on the film of Malik Willis isn't real.

I appreciate having some skepticism over this signing after what this team has been through over the last couple of decades, but the numbers AND THE FILM are good!

For what it's worth, I like the Malik Willis signing. He's clearly the QB with the most upside and was available at what will be, IF HE HITS, an absolute bargain.

As long as what he put on tape for the Packers wasn't a mirage, the Dolphins might – finally – have their guy.

This is true. I didn't have a problem with him getting an extension based solely on how things had panned out, but I didn't like the contract he was given. I would have built in much more protection for the team.

The thing is the OVERWHELMING majority of the NFL Draft Industrial Complex AND the Dolphins fan base agreed Tua to the Dolphins was the move at the time. There were a small handful of folks who disagreed, but they were a small minority that didn't really make a lot of noise about it until after.
