Stephen Miller just said the quiet part out loud claiming that Trump has plenary authority when it comes to deploying troops. (Plenary means full authority.) After making the statement, he froze completely, like a deer in headlights. The video is worth watching.

They’re really excelling at selecting woefully underqualified individuals. The Justice Department has appointed retired Marine Corps Colonel Daren K. Margolin as the new head of its immigration court system.

Margolin previously served as the security chief at Marine Base Quantico but was dismissed from that role after accidentally firing his weapon into the floor of his office.

In the United States, states have sovereignty and the military is not meant to police civilians. The narrative Trump is pushing about “lawless Democratic cities” is pure political theater. He’s deliberately targeting top Democratic strongholds, not areas that actually face higher crime rates.

The ACLU of Illinois, joined by other Chicago immigration advocates, filed a lawsuit against DHS and ICE in March, alleging that the January arrests of 26 individuals across the Midwest violated a 2022 consent decree that bars ICE from detaining people without a warrant or probable cause.

Hoping these federal agents are held accountable, breaking the law should have real consequences. A federal judge has ruled that federal immigration agents illegally arrested more than two dozen people.
