You dont have to apologize im glad we're having this conversation. Im aware that things may not be how i think it is due to public perception, but the idea that theyre not even trying to circumvent that public perception is just harmful. I want them to act responsibly and stay true like they claim
In my assumption, if theyre tired and need a break they should just take one now and figure out what this band is gonna be moving forward because what they built has the ability to outlast them if they choose to preserve it. No one has that power except them, not their fans or their label
And the connection they have with their fans. Its literally what got them signed to FBR in the first place. And now having been a fan long enough to see that transition into what this group has become it seems incredibly destructive to the entire point of why they made this is its just frustrating
I agree with this too which is why i disconnected from the band right now, they are allowed to decide how they handle their careers and some fans will choose to support them no matter what. But my only point in saying this is that they built their entire careers around their message +
If their circumstance of communication changed then it would be responsible for the band to acknowledge that but they dont. They continue to act as if rarely anything has differed, but allow their message to be ambiguous enough for harmful discourse to thrive with little pushbacks or accountability
I can understand that too but i feel like there has been no expectations set for this fanbase anymore and because of that old fans are still trying to act like those words from years ago still speak for them now and new fans dont know that and just act with the current state. Leading to division
