Quick Note:
Sorry we've been away!
Our team (again, very small) experienced an unfortunately simultaneous series of minor to moderate personal crises in our respective lives.
We appreciate your patience as we work to catch up on correspondence, map updates, and more.

It doesn’t matter if you have all the covid tests you need or if you are somehow magically rich enough to not care about free ones
If you’re in the USA, request your 4 from the government NOW. Don’t wait. They need to see there’s public desire for them to do more

• Supplies of tests with enhanced accessibility are limited. Only order these tests if you do not have other options for using the standard COVID-19 tests
• Tests require you to use a compatible, Bluetooth-enabled smartphone and an app
• Orders will ship free starting the week of October 2, 2023

Per the page information re the more accessible tests:
• Limit of one order per residential address
• Your order will include 12 rapid antigen COVID-19 tests with enhanced accessibility for blind or low vision people

Order Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests for Blind or Low Vision People
As of September 25, 2023, you can place another order for one set of #12 free at-home tests with enhanced accessibility for blind or low vision people, while supplies last.
The federal government has also opened a fresh round of distribution for more accessible tests for Blind and low vision folks.
If your household includes people with vision disabilities, you can use this link to order and get more info:

We would also like to not let it pass that, in addition to the 4 tests per household being flatly insulting, to open the ordering on Yom Kippur—the most important holiday of the Jewish year and a day when many Jewish USians will be at services and offline—is flatly antisemitic.

Please also remember to help your neighbors and loved ones, especially elders, who may not have internet access or who otherwise lack the ability to place their own orders.
No one should miss out on their tests for lack of accessibility.

Show them we know C19 remains a threat. We demand more and better official support.
If you can afford your own tests, please redistribute your allotment to larger families/households. 4 TESTS PER ADDRESS IS NOT ENOUGH. You can also give them to free pantries or directly to your unhoused neighbors.

Screenshot from linked site. Text under the USPS logo reads: Thank you, your order # [redacted with flower stickers] has been placed. Orders will ship free starting the week of October 2, 2023. Red text has been photoshopped above this and reads: Ordering is Now Open for Your Free COVID Rapid Tests!!! COVID.gov/tests
ORDERING IS NOW OPEN!!!
(Link below and on our Linktree in bio.)
Please order your tests, whether you "have enough" or can afford to purchase them yourself.
Demanding the tests already set aside for you by the federal government proves we still care about the ongoing pandemic.

We know 4 tests per household is a shamefully low allotment, but everyone should still get theirs. It proves we still care that covid remains a concern and a threat and that we demand more and better official support and protection to survive it.

A graphic that says in black lettering at the top "Want to Protect Your Community?" The bottom text says "But Have No Idea Where to Start?" The photo in the center is of the title page of How to Start a Mask Bloc. The names of each organization is in a sun shape. Alt text for the design is also on the image. A black arrow pointing toward the next image says "We Got You." The entire graphic is on a lime green background.
The second image is a graphic with a lime green background. At the top of the page it says "8 Collectives. 37 Pages. Easy to navigate, detailed info, photos, and graphics." The bottom of the graphic says "Get into it. And get started." The URL: https://tinyurl.com/HowToStartAMaskBloc is present as well. The image in the middle is of several of the zine's pages overlapping one another as if scattered on a desk. The text is too small to read.
Now on our Linktree (in bio)!!!
Very proud to know everyone involved in this effort, of the mask bloc work being done in communities around the world, and of the commitment to making this zine a reality.

Screenshot zoomed into an intermediate position between the last two slides. The same emoji points to the same pin, which now has a large white text box popping up from it. Text in the box reads, "The Mid-South's CDC (TN). Community mask support serving Germantown, Collierville, Bartlett, and Midtown Memphis, TN by pickup and delivery. — Note: shipping of masks is available to addresses anywhere in Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee. — Email: The MidSouthsCDC@proton.me — Instagram: https://instagram.com/TheMidSouthsCDC — Info Current as of August 25, 2023. The top portion of the text with the delivery and shipping information is circled in purple, and a corresponding purple text box reads, "click on the PIN for the full distro details of both service areas."
Neither species is verbal, and they may occasionally absorb more than one pin, which is why each is tagged with their distro's name.
By clicking on the distro's pin (they're all marked with stars), the precise nature and personality of a given blob (or blob pair) becomes clear.

Screenshot from Google Maps zoomed out much wider over the southeastern US. The starred purple icon still sits over the Memphis area. The WWMM logo is in the bottom right corner. In the middle of the screenshot is the same jagged grey shape from the first slide, but now the grey is paler and it is mostly a heavy black outline. It encompases all of Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. A large blue circle is labeled with white letters that read, "wider service area," and three long blue arrows point to the zone covered by the greyish blob. A corresponding blue text box reads, "a wider service area blob may indicate mask shipping or extended delivery under special circumstances." In the bottom left is the emoji of a smiling face with a heart over the mask in a dark purple circle with a purple arrow pointing to the starred purple icon. A corresponding purple text box reads, "pin marks a generic, approximate hub. (City or other distro area.)"
Its rarer cousin (Blobus maximus) is grey, often very large, and quite thin. They are easy to see at a distance, but become nearly transparent up close.
Its presence near a pin indicates that this group will ship masks OR can offer extended delivery under special circumstances.

Screenshot from Google Maps zoomed in on the Memphis metro area. The middle of the screenshot is the same purple shape from slide 1, but now it surrounds the area ranging from Midtown Memphis east to Collierville, and an additional rounded bloop juts into the northeast to contain Bartlett. A large blue circle is labeled with white letters that read, local service area, and three long blue arrows point to the zone covered by the purple blob. A corresponding blue text box reads, "a local service area blob may indicate mask pick up, delivery, dispensers, or masks at local events." In the top right is an emoji of a smiling face with a heart over the mask. It's surrounded by a purple circle, and a purple Arrow points to a lighter purple icon in the middle of the purple blob. The icon has a white star in the middle of it. A corresponding purple text box reads, "pin marks generic center of local service area, not a real location."
The more common of the two (Blobus domesticus) is purple, semi-transparent, and typically smallish.
Its presence near a pin indicates that this mask distro has specified to WWMM their approximate coverage area delivery, pickup, and/or other local services under usual conditions.
