Random Thought: One of my favorite parts of Pose season 1 is when Stan ruins his whole life and loses his marriage and then Angel chooses herself over an unrealistic fantasy with a man who will never respect and understand her world. And then he disappears never to be seen nor mentioned again!

Finally caught up with #BeyondTheGates and I’m sorry but I am still Team Kat. Ted needs to stop telling Eva about Dupree family business and the only reason she went to Kat to be supportive was to make Ted happy. They don’t like each other and that’s okay.

Claudette Clovin was the first to protest segregated seating by refusing to give up her seat on a Montgomery Bus on March 2, 1955. As a dark-skinned, pregnant teenager, leaders initially overlooked Clovin. Keep her memory alive. Such bravery in challenging Jim Crow should be remembered.

For the first time in far too long, I sat down for an entire hour last night and read a book for my own entertainment. It felt good to flip those pages and sip my elderberry tea. I don't have very much joy in my life overall, so that hour really meant a lot.

Now people are either going with really unique spellings of common names or just inventing new stuff lol. There are a lot of pop culture names too, like Arya.

I have a relatively unusual first name (it’s not Tai) and I remember always wanting to find my name on a keychain. But I was also glad to not be mixed up with 20 other folks with the same name.

Name cycles are so fascinating to me. When I was in school in the 90s and 2000s, there were so many kids named Jessica, Ashley, Brandon, John, etc. I don’t think my kids have any classmates with those names. Idk a Brandon under 35 😂

My nephew is named Michael but he’s also named after his dad.

I’m having a really hard time watching #BeyondTheGates right now. I know this cancer storyline with Anita is so important for folks to see but it is deeply triggering for me ☹️

Cooking it early on Christmas Eve (Wednesday) so we can eat it through Friday. By Saturday I will be ready to cook again lol. Will probably do a quick French toast bake or something Christmas morning.

I'm doing something different with food for Christmas this year. I don't feel like cooking a bunch of stuff and eating the same food we literally just ate a month ago. So, I am gonna do a crabcake dip, a beef dip w/ chips, veggie tray, smoked chicken wings, cookies, deviled eggs, and meatballs.
