Through SEWARTH, launched with the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh & AIIMS Gorakhpur, his team built one of the region’s first Health & Demographic Surveillance Systems, reaching 13K+ households. The initiative centers community voices to drive solutions like tackling maternal anemia.

For nearly 20 years, Yale EMD Assistant Professor Brian Wahl has worked to reduce pneumonia & diarrhea—the leading killers of kids under 5—by partnering with communities in South Asia.
