Do we get to have a Vote of No Confidence and get him fired, or what?

I hate feeling like I’ve just exchanged a kettle for a pot.

Stegosaurus is still my favourite!

Those details etc. are something that I notice more and more with every viewing.

A very big difference in feel and take-away than when I was a child and it was just β€œOMG that big shark is SO COOL”

Jaws.

Easily.

It’s also one of the best movies ever, and tops my Top 5 favourite movies (all of which are Very Obvious and immediately tell you what kind of annoying person I am)

Female klipspringer with impeccable eyeliner and the most fashionably black-and-white striped inner ears delivering a most withering amount of sass from her squinty eyes and frowny-frown mouth.

I mean, look at the SASS from this girl:

Male klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus) staring down my camera lens with what can only be assumed to be a haughty sense of disdain.
He also has twin tiny little pokey horns sticking up like two miniature wizard hats. Maybe that's his problem.

They are gorgeous animals - how can anyone want to do them harm?

That is a nice shark.

This is a gorgeous representation of not-so-ancient Australia!

My favourite is when I go back and look at a piece I _thought_ was good with those eyes, and end up with a newfound distaste for it.

We are so bad to ourselves.

It is truly mind-boggling to think of just how destructive this administration has been.

I feel like I’m living in a Harry Turtledove novel.

This reminds me that one of my favourite pastimes when travelling was photographing graffiti.
There are some beautiful pieces out there!

It’s such a beautiful museum! Spent nearly a month there staying in the tiny guesthouse during my PhD.

Walked over to the biergarten in the hills so often the waitress brought me my drink order as I walked up.

My favourite palaeoartist of all time. Just an incredible talent with the media he works with and the feel that he wants to evoke. So much of his work instantly transports you to another place - where prehistoric animals just happen to be fleetingly seen.

William Stout is an unbelievable talent. His palaeo work has always struck me - like, almost in a physical way. It is SO evocative, imaginative, playful, and stylised. So tasty!

I cannot even begin to articulate how much 13 year old me would have given to have had these.

Pleistocene steppe bison Bison Priscus. It inhabited Europe, Asia, and North America until the early Holocene and is the ancestor of modern European bison and American bison.
I'm not sure if it's noticeable, but I was inspired by ancient images of bison and Altamira and other caves.

I have almost zero information or knowledge of my family past my grandparents (of whom I know shockingly little).

On one had, I am very envious of those who have a history and culture, etc.

On the other - what horrors might I find?

I imagine only being around Americans anymore and… eish.

Thank you! I had to pick up a brush to use with ink for a project, and was thinking about just trying to get back into doing some actual art with ink again.

What brushes do you enjoy using?

16.01.2026 01:10 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yup. Buying physical media of movies is so frustrating and takes so much research and time.

But it’s not like music hasn’t had its similar issues - remember the Loudness Wars?
