Lost me at Telegram. Itβs owned by a Russian oligarch and Signal is way more secure. Also, who the hell uses Telegram in the U.S.? YIKES

Launch Registration - Democracy's Second Act
In their book, Peter MacLeod and Richard Johnson challenge the narrative of a passive, cynical citizen. Citing examples from their work and cases in other countries, they show the amount of civic energy that remains untapped.

Mierda.
06.03.2026 12:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs about fucking time. The confirmation votes from Dems last year were INSANE. Just unbelievable. This is where we shouldβve been a year ago.
05.03.2026 20:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting. From an article in The New Republic.
05.03.2026 19:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In theory, yes. In reality, voting power is heavily diluted away from democracy, especially at the national level. So make sure to ALSO vote in primaries, research your local candidates, and vote in other democratic institutions such as unions, co-ops, political parties, local organizations, etc!
05.03.2026 06:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ugh, fucking Jared Polis.
05.03.2026 06:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We have to do our best to build democracy from the ground up because it certainly is a sham at the national level and statewide for many states. To no one in particular: How many democratic organizations are you a member of? I'm a member of 2 co-ops and one major democratic organization.
05.03.2026 06:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sounds like theyβre going to need to invalidate the results. Completely fascistic.

03.03.2026 23:26 β π 6 π 3 π¬ 0 π 1Yβall, the 2024 election was stolen, just like the 2016 and 2000 elections. I think itβs high time to stop guilt-tripping each other over Trump βwinningβ in 2024.
03.03.2026 15:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve got a list of Dem/progressive candidates running in 2026. Who else do I need to add?
03.03.2026 04:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes.
03.03.2026 04:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βIf you cannot say what is true about Israelβs actions in the world, you do not live in a democracy. Too many citizens live in countries whose democratic status is threatened in this way.β open.substack.com/pub/jasonsta...

This is DC's money.
If our current CFO is going to refuse to allocate it, we need a new CFO.
What the fuuuuck
26.02.2026 06:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0ππΏ All that we can do is fight to get our nation back,because our democracy is gone,broken...
26.02.2026 06:00 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0It may already be too late. But we keep fighting bc the alternative is absolutely unacceptable.

Whatβs one thing youβre doing for #democracy electorally and one thing youβre doing beyond electoral systems, in 2026? Since we need both. Me:
1. Canvassing for municipal elections (mayor and city council).
2. Procott outreach to support small, local businesses over oligarchic / Trump-aligned biz.
No, Iβm pretty sure Iβd think it was stupid regardless. Not the first thing I thought was lacking in the book, but I still think most of it is good. Heβs obviously a bit ignorant and quite privileged and sometimes writes nonsense, but he seems to at least be trying. *Some* of the book is fantastic.
19.02.2026 23:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Funnily enough, the section I just started reading sounds totally stupid to me. Most of the book up to this point has been great.
19.02.2026 20:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm not really familiar with him beyond this book tbh.
19.02.2026 20:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Crazy story about Bush. Imagine if we gave power to people according to their curiosity rather than their extroversion!
19.02.2026 20:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0According to this fantastic #book, books about healing are whatβs hot right now. This book might sound more like a βself-helpβ book, but I think of it more as a book on healing bc healing is what Iβm focused on and this fits right in. It also talks about trauma and is highly relevant to this moment.

18.02.2026 16:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We can have democracy or we can have Peter Thiel but we canβt have both. It should be an easy decision but capitalism demands we choose this freakβs personal wealth and power over a better world for billions of people
