Sadly ours are bootlickers. They actually ran on that fact and got elected. I wish I could move out of this state.

They aren’t listening to us. A local friend got a letter back from our congressperson saying he thinks what Elon is doing is a good thing. 🤢

It seems there’s a fine line between staying informed and doomscrolling. I’m not sure where that line is anymore.

I want to post my art but the news is making me feel like my creations are trivial and useless.

I went through hell with my pregnancy and I am happy with my little miracle. Not doing it again. I am one and done. No way I’m having more. How can people have more kids in a world where we can’t afford to feed them?

Got some metal tumblers to work with. Made one for my mom that she designed with her business logo, one for my husband with the design he requested I come up with, and a surprise dragon one for my daughter. I will be working on making more w/ versions of my dragon and gnome designs for sale as well.

I didn’t ignore it but I had a really hard time believing people could fall for or allow their government to do that without a full rebellion.

I also remember reading 1984 as a naive high school senior, thinking this world would never happen… oops

That’s a much more recent book in the genre, but I remember reading books that are now in the banned list in the 80s and 90s as required reading in school. 1984, Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm. That was all 90s Alabama high school reading.

Is the Giver considered a banned book? I just finished reading it recently.

Lately when I post my art on my FB artist business page, I get scam bot messages instead of real inquiries. Instagram is no better. That used to be the go to for art and photography. It’s all going to crap.
