This #WolverineWednesday, I have a question for YOU.
What's your favorite thing about Wolverines?
a wolverine from behind covered in a dusting of fresh snow
Wolverine fur is such a good insulator, we can sleep in the snow without melting it!
15.10.2025 23:55 β π 74 π 22 π¬ 0 π 0Man, I've really been slacking on the posts lately! Sorry, I'm just so sleepy >_<
Wolverines are diurnal, but we still like naps!

Late post today since I'm prepping for surgery tomorrow.

No facts, just admiration. Look at those arms. LOOK AT THOSE ARMS.
You're gonna get BAPPED.
A wolverine yawning and showing off its teeth
OPEN WIDE!
Wolverines actually have a fairly average bite force of about 50psi, yet our jawbone and 38 teeth are immensely strong, allowing us to chew tough frozen tissue and bone no problem!

I like to think we're cute lil' buggers

If you're cold, they're...
Well, they're probably not cold. But you should bring them in, anyway!

It's Wednesday somewhere! (That's how it works, right?)
There's too much upsetty spaghetti on the internetti today. Have a picture of me at the dentist instead!
Like all mustelids, Wolverines are intelligent, playful, and feisty. We're not just angry mindless killing machines!
That said, we're also NOT PETS.

Hey green-thumbs!
Make sure to plant your wolverines 6-8 weeks before the first hard frost, allowing them time to establish roots before winter.

Did you know Wolverines love belly rubs?
... I mean of course we do, who doesn't? We're angry death weasel trickster gods, not monsters.

Wolverines don't all have the same markings and bright masks, like this wood-eating variant and its ultra rare nightweasel skin that currently goes for $42,069 on the Steam Community Market.

Wolverines are actually quite adept climbers and LOVE trees. That passion is why so many wolverines become real estate agents for squirrels and other critters looking for a new home.

Wolverines have large, broad paws that help them walk on top of the snow.
Unfortunately, those big paws also make it difficult for them to play piano or use keybosrds, so thy spwnd most of thrir free tume pravticing finger postire.

I went for a walk in prime Wolverine country today, but didn't see any!
This is because Wolverines command territories between 50 and 500 square miles, and this one is MINE.

A map showing the natural territory of the Wolverine, spanning from Alaska through Northern Canada and across Northern Europe and Russia. Not Greenland, though. We think it's pretty there, but there's not really enough good shopping.
Wolverines are one of the largest mustelids and are very well adapted to the boreal forests of the Northern hemisphere. As you can see by this map, they own all of Canada and Russia but have yet to devise a proper strategy to advance further South into enemy territory. Give it time. We're coming.
