You get the teachings of jesus drilled into your head in Sunday school and vacation Bible school but as you get older you notice the nuances of adults thinking they are these great people cus they go to church but in their day to day really arnt.

And I only got more vocal about my issues with organized religion the older I got, especially with how Catholicism handled (or rather, didn't handle) the exposure of the CSA that it facilitates/keeps hidden

I can't do anything about personal faith, but I can remind people what they're supporting

I remember as young as 5 asking my family what happens to someone who doesn't think God exists, to be told "they go to hell"
