Quick interlude that requires a bit of German comprehension.

Yesterday I was on a plane traveling to Germany. I was seated next to a young guy who presented as American but was actually bilingual from the German side.

Pre-boarding instructions proceeded as usual, buckle seatbelts etc. 1/n

Great episode. My alternative interpretation: even if they had progressive politics, to my GenX ear, Pearl Jam was itself a bombastic, overblown bro band, without any of the quirkiness of college rock. The seeds of the destruction of "alternative music" were there from the beginning.

I turned it on at kickoff time and clicked "Watch Live" and it kept jumping back to the beginning of the pregame. Sometimes the live game would flash for a second and then it would go back to the empty stadium. Eventually managed to get it to play live by fast-forwarding through the entire pregame.
