Just watched 2 men argue in grocery line about who was there first. Turned & locked eyes with woman behind me. Ridiculous, she whispered. I nodded & rolled my eyes. So..... I live here. So do lots of other people who care deeply, push back against oppression and speak truth to power. Jefferson County, where I live, is completely blue. So is the black belt part of the state. Leadership here sucks, but many people are the best resistors America has ever had.
