Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We have lots to be thankful for here at Kinson Key Games: supportive families, continued excitement about Galactic Cruise (and the projects beyond), a wonderful world of diverse and exciting board games, and our fabulous colleagues. Chief among those: Ian O’Toole! 🎨🐐

We love games that have unique, not-overdone themes, and cheese is such a universal and pleasant theme. The art style is really lovely, too.

(And who are we kidding? We love pretty much every game from the Rosset/O’Malley design team!)

We got to play Fromage from R2i (Road to Infamy) tonight. It is a fantastic simultaneous worker placement #boardgame that features a light rules overhead coupled with some really thinky spatial puzzling. Plus the board spins. Plus it’s about cheese! 🧀

That’s a great question. I’d say that at least one of us (there are 3 of us in the company) was present for 400+ of the games (some were blind/unguided plays). A lot of time, we’d teach 3-4 players and then just observe. However, I’d say that all of us have played it 100-200 times as actual players.

I estimate there were 500-600 playtests of Galactic Cruise from conception to Kickstarter.

Sausage Sizzle goes with us to every single convention/event. “Rare wein” (sung like “Jolene”) and “common sausage” (as a playful insult) have entered our lexicon thanks to SS.
