We had a great time at #PAXU this year. Thank you to everyone who dropped by the booth, played a demo or full game of Galactic Cruise, or even just chatted with us in a hallway! It was a fantastic time.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We have lots to be thankful for here at Kinson Key Games: supportive families, continued excitement about Galactic Cruise (and the projects beyond), a wonderful world of diverse and exciting board games, and our fabulous colleagues. Chief among those: Ian O’Toole! 🎨🐐

We love games that have unique, not-overdone themes, and cheese is such a universal and pleasant theme. The art style is really lovely, too.

(And who are we kidding? We love pretty much every game from the Rosset/O’Malley design team!)

While R2i will not be at #PAXU to sell the game, we fellow Allplay partners, we will be selling copies of the game on their behalf! So if you’re in Philly and feelin’ cheesy next weekend, swing by booth 2901 and grab a copy! (….and if you’re still feeling cheesy in Phillyβ€”get a cheesesteak!) (2/2)

We got to play Fromage from R2i (Road to Infamy) tonight. It is a fantastic simultaneous worker placement #boardgame that features a light rules overhead coupled with some really thinky spatial puzzling. Plus the board spins. Plus it’s about cheese! πŸ§€

What is your go-to player color (in general) when you play a #boardgame? And which color will you choose to play when you play Galactic Cruise? πŸš€ #yellow, #blue, #pink, or #green?

That’s a great question. I’d say that at least one of us (there are 3 of us in the company) was present for 400+ of the games (some were blind/unguided plays). A lot of time, we’d teach 3-4 players and then just observe. However, I’d say that all of us have played it 100-200 times as actual players.

I estimate there were 500-600 playtests of Galactic Cruise from conception to Kickstarter.

Sausage Sizzle goes with us to every single convention/event. β€œRare wein” (sung like β€œJolene”) and β€œcommon sausage” (as a playful insult) have entered our lexicon thanks to SS.

For those of you interested in self-publishing #boardgames, what are some of the burning questions you have about the process? (This question is very open ended on purpose.) We have started a small, short-form video series where we try to address self-publishing questions and would love to (1/2)
