I know I tend to whine, and I try not to. When I tell my kids to “STOP WHINING!”—I recognize the hypocrisy. I KNOW how much I used to whine.) I do it less now but still offend. Like this morning. The person I whined to knows who they are, and I apologize.

TBH, the dissonance between the US’s global ad campaign, and how it actually functions, is not particularly new. Nixon, the Vietnam war criminals, the Iran-Contra folks: none were really punished. (Bush I, either a perjurer or incompetent VP, elected president.) More blatant now, sure, but not new.
