The US has a lot of problems, especially for trans healthcare, but thinking that the UK is *better* is just laughable at this point. Obviously my only experience is NM but it has been *incredible* for every healthcare issue we've had since I moved here.

Every time a UK pal is baffled by my move across the pond I remember things like this and think: oh, maybe they don't care that the US is bigoted, they care that the US is bigoted *and* crass.

(Meanwhile New Mexico gave my wife GRS at zero cost to us within 4 months of scheduling her first consult)

What makes this thesis so compelling – and it's true of all of them, really – is that the things you're sacrificing for power are in tension with the reasons you wanted power in the first place. Nochazza's already traded away honesty and honor – how long til loyalty to the house is gone?

Still, there's something inherently violent even about dice rolls. It's like every time you cast a die, something disappears. Some alternative ending, or an entirely different world...

Alchemy was my first pick for thesis before I fell to the siren song of Diabolism – but I'm still really excited to see it in play! The externalization + destruction concept is *so cool* as a way of framing your progress towards your perfected self ^^

Benthic tunicate from about 300m depth in the Weddell Sea. Appears to have been rooted in the surface sediment and then caught on the edge of the core tube and dragged down into the sediment.

Check out this gnarly tunicate that got caught in our multicore! Captain was on deck when it came up and exclaimed it was a “creature never meant to be seen by man”. Collected from about 300m depth and appears to have been rooted in the surface sediment. #seamonster #oceanography 🌊🇦🇶
