"Banding": The hair closest to the scalp lightens faster. So when the roots grow out this far, it ends up two toned with a darker horizontal band across the head. I usually go for an all over white. If it was vertical streaks it would add dimension, but it just looks like an unintentional stripe.

I haven't felt up to bleaching and toning my regrowth since the surgery.

I have never minded my roots and used to let them grow out this far until I learned that's what causes banding.

The last time I visited there wasn't glass.

You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because it’s not at all.
