It Was Worth the Wait Severance season two delivers answers. But its greatest pleasure is returning to this world and finding it still exists.

Friday essay: β€˜A future of dust’ – Jeff Sparrow on Gaza and why, in evil times, writers have a responsibility to take sides Paradoxically, the very scale of the crisis in Gaza makes worthwhile even the tiniest gesture of solidarity.

Such a powerful essay by Jeff Sparrow:

Something I wasn’t prepared for is how much *audacity* it takes to be an authorβ€”or even an artistβ€”in publishing. You gotta be ready to pitch yourself to anyone at any time, arrange & set up your own events, build your own hype, all while burying your insecurities. It’s a shockingly extroverted job.
