In Texas, Democrats outperformed Republicans in early voting for the first time in over 20 years. North Carolina Democrats also turned out to vote in massive numbers — nearly 50% higher than Republicans — and surpassed both 2024 and 2022 levels.

This is the thing, and we’ve seen all of the building blocks of it over the last couple of decades. Senate candidates dominating primaries and then losing winnable generals. We’re seeing it right now with Texas, where the split is not on substance but on affect.

This is how it’s done: coming together and thanking and supporting your opponent. At the end of the day, we must elect a Democrat in Texas to stop billionaires, Trump, and Republicans from stealing from hardworking Americans—and take back Texas and our country!
