What do you feel about the climate crisis?
Sometimes it’s hard to put feelings into words.

Try exploring them through sound and music instead in a Climate Café Listening & Music Circle. No musical experience needed.

We’ll improvise in a group and we might find new ways of exploring and understanding the potentially difficult, fluctuating or conflicting feelings that may arise. The only thing that matters in this space is the experience of making sounds together.

Music has the capacity to embrace emotional complexity and contrast, enabling access to the truth of a feeling in a way that words cannot express. But don’t worry, this isn’t about performing - or even knowing how to play a musical instrument.

I warmly invite you to a Climate Café Listening and Music Circle. This format is based on the usual climate café approach, but introduces something new - the chance to use musical instruments & your voice to express, explore & deepen feelings related to the climate crisis.

What do you FEEL about the climate crisis? It can be hard translating our feelings around this huge issue into words - feelings shift as we try to capture them. The words to describe what you’re feeling might not even exist.

What if you could experiment with sound & music as well as words ?

There are four house martins feeding above my head. They’re six inches long and are about to travel 6,000 miles. That’s about 63 million times their body length. The lunatics.

We particularly encourage applications from candidates who are from marginalised groups.

Most of the posts are U.K. based and require the right to work in the U.K. The CPA youth coordinator role is an exception to this - see application packs for more details.

Tawny owl

Tawny owl

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

Men in balaclavas set fire to a mosque in East Sussex last night. It's only appearing on the BBC's local coverage, rather than its main national headlines, despite coming just a week after the (also under-reported) firebombing of an asylum hotel in London last week

That’s why this essential briefing on the #climate & #nature crisis needs under 2 hours of their time👇

What will they gain?

✅ How to dispel polluter myths
✅ Demonstrate a strong commitment to protecting our future
✅ Arm themselves to make sound decisions
