To die for. I grew up in Mahone Bay, 12 miles from Western Shore. The restaurant is called "Island View", right on the shore. If you're down there, try to come up to the Valley as well. Maybe look me up. It's only a 50 minute drive from the South Shore or from Halifax.

I'd try them. I'm a fried clam guy myself. There's a little road side restaurant in Western Shore (in sight of the famous Oak Island) where you can order Just Clams. I swear you get enough whole fried clams to feed three people.

A friend has taken to trapping raccoons this summer due to their damaging his lawn. He's so proud that he's gotten three. I told him to let me know when he's up to 35. He doesn't believe me. We'll see.

I had the same thing happen with mice due to my neighbour keeping chickens. 35 years in this house and never a problem with mice. Suddenly, they were everywhere; in my shed, my garage and in the house. I had to set traps everywhere and caught/killed dozens.
Now, chickens are gone and no mice.

I had to stop putting up bird feeders. Raccoons continually tore them down and destroyed them.
Thinking there were only a couple, I set out a trap to take care of them. I also set up a camera to record activity. In a single night, there had to be dozens of the little bandits in my yard.
I gave up.

They're deathly afraid of exactly the same thing.
