I really shouldn’t be here. Explorer, Poet, Fantasist. The boy whose thoughts keep running away. Partial to a playlist. From the table of my memory I'll wipe away all trivial fond records. #COYS

05.03.2026 21:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Personally starting to feel a bit of gallows humour creeping in. I can only cope with the possibility of it happening by accepting it could happen.

04.03.2026 13:16 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0One that initially passed me by but then I read of Neil being inspired by Rob Hewitt, who survived lost at sea for nearly 3 days. The song became elevated and is now one of my favourites. Love the fragility in Neil’s voice especially ‘Of all the stories in my life, only good things return to you’.

@robmanuel.b3ta.com have you manifested this terrifying chimera?

… A while ago someone asked me to sum up the music of Crowded House. For some reason, I responded with that tale – perhaps because it’s simultaneously the saddest and most uplifting thing I’ve heard. Like Neil Finn’s voice when he sings. “I don’t pretend to know what you want/But I offer love”
25.02.2026 22:53 — 👍 4 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0…Alone in bed and crying uncontrollably, he noticed his baby daughter walking toward his bed, arms outstretched. In her hand was a glass of water. She wanted to give something. Something to make it alright. This was all she could find…

When travelling I wrote in my journal ‘Still so young to travel so far,
Old enough to know who you are,
Wise enough to carry the scars,
Without any blame, there’s no one to blame’ @petepaphides.bsky.social put it best ‘Spike Milligan once recalled how he was in the throes of a nervous breakdown…
Vale Karen. Wishing you and your family love and strength Moose x
23.02.2026 20:43 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Always makes me feel joyous and hopeful. Is that a hint of Tim on BVs? Also, love the deep bass vocal used under Neil’s voice, not sure that’s an effect he’s ever used again.

To turn the angry river
Leave ripples on the surface…
A true beauty 😍

12.02.2026 20:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I’m sure there’s a story to this song that Neil hasn’t revealed and it seems steeped in slavery, mentioning sugar cane, smokers and the burning cross with the ‘holy pain’. The production and harmonies are lush to my ears. It also mentions I See Red 😉

06.02.2026 11:46 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I’d have to say I’m not too fond of this one. Whilst it has some charm, I’m very glad it didn’t appear on a studio album.
04.02.2026 15:57 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I always had affection for it due to the co-write. Feels like more of a Paul song than one of Neil’s, especially with having a few domestic references. I do love the feel of it and nicely links Enz through Mullanes to CH. Was an early one that they auditioned with Nick and Bones Hillman.
28.01.2026 21:21 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I remember watching this and being convinced that I’d heard a loud bang in the playground at lunchtime. Probably a bit of a reach considering that I went to school in Bedfordshire.
