i know they also did some adjustments with the flow/pacing of dialogue and even added some for some characters so all of that has prolly been helping me with being immersed in the story more too

tl;dr i know i'm replaying 15 somethin years later so my brain is able to digest it in a better way, but all the new features in this game has been making me enjoy it even more than when i first played, and i already loved the game to begin with.

SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. this story is a very political based one and can get convoluted at times with 50 different names to follow, so i'm glad they rlly went in depth w/ the encyclopedia to help the player to follow along with what's happening. there's great visuals/text pieces for all of that now.

the voice acting is also banger. also idk if it'd be any different now that i'm much older, but the original has a bit of a learning curve. the added difficulty tiers is a nice addition and easy mode still provides decent challenge imo. also the VAST AMOUNT of lore explanations that were added are

i'm kind of (a lot of) obsessed with FFT Ivalice Chronicles, and idk if it's cuz I'm playing this in my 30's now instead of my teens but it feels like a fresh new experience for me. I'm feeling very compelled to raise it up in my top 5 fav games. I've always loved this game, but I REALLY love it now
