Watching Top 4 of the Seattle Regional Championships!!

I understand kids can be shy and these kinds of events can be overwhelming, but shyness is not an excuse for rudeness. Please make sure kids are practicing good habits when competing.

Parents: PLEASE teach your kids good sportsmanship if they are going to play competitive games.

I played a round against a kid who ignored me when I spoke to him, didn’t respond when I said “good game”, and signed the match slip in silence and ran to turn it in after winning.

I played, beat, and brought to game 3 many people who said that they've travel the country competing in VGC events for years. I feel more fired up than ever to keep playing and improving.

Thinking about this again, this tournament, despite being a regional, had over 800 players including multiple previous World Champions, International Champions, Regional winners, and tournament grinders.

For someone that only started playing seriously a month ago, 3-5 is kind of amazing.

After 10 hours of playing, I ended today with a 3-5 record and a placement of 526/822.

I’m a little sad about how some of my games ended up, but overall I think 3 match wins at a giant tournament for a game I’ve realistically only been playing for 2 months isn’t bad 🙂 onto the next one!

I lost in game 3 to a really unlucky critical hit. It’s how the game goes but I’m a bit salty lol. Gonna play out the rest of my games for experience and prize tickets!
