I've written about a LOT of new tech - primarily in media. Even in the failures you see the appeal. Take 3D - I saw amazing demos. Really beautiful & inspiring. Ultimately it wasn't practical & audiences just didn't care. I've seen nothing like that with Gen AI. I've never once said "I love this!"

At the end of Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, some guy in the front stood up, raised is fists in the air and whooped at the credits in absolute victory, as if his team had won. It was awesome because I think we all felt exactly like that.

Cool! Many people I respect liked that film, so maybe I should see it!

I was pretty blown away by the trailer, and even the tower of skulls on the poster impressed me. If you liked it, I will try to see it. (Our little local theatre is sometimes too loud so I actually didn't go see it in the cinema because I was worried about how loud it might be. Alas!)
