and also with ships etc in particular I'm constantly fighting the targeting system to get it to let me lock onto the right things ever

I forgot how frustrating fighting ships is in ace combat 7
it feels like the only weapons that work on them are unguided bombs and pulse laser
and honestly just air-to-ground in general in ace combat really doesn't feel very good, a vast majority of the dedicated weapons for it just suck so bad

like . if someone likes your nsfw art theyll only give attention to that. if someone thinks you're gross for making nsfw theyll ALSO ignore your reg art/assume everything you make is nsfw. you just cant win and its exhausting, artists can be multifaceted

Found out that this ONLY happens on Godot's vulkan-based renderers, and have started trying to find related things online

also I was mistaken there was a thing I missed so I did that today

I have to say cutting down the previous session's footage is a great way to get a quick reminder of where I was at when I last played

Something I need to test is if v-sync has anything to do with my PC freezing completely vs. just my game crashing

basically if I have the wrong combination of stuff open when changing editor settings it freezes and has to be killed manually, where it then freezes my computer for a solid 10 seconds

uuuuuuugh I can't escape the weird and stupid computer issues
even Godot has strange issues

it's just so frustrating to troubleshoot an issue like this because the ONLY way I've found to consistently trigger it is to play games for a while and only sometimes will it randomly die

I NEED to figure out what the fuck keeps causing my PC to freeze and crash, this happened on Windows and is also happening on Linux
I will be testing my drive later today, and if that's the issue I'm gonna need to figure out how to copy the whole thing to my 2nd drive and then remove the 1st drive

before I have the playthrough done, I don't know what I want to say about it, but I can do the bulk of the "woodchipper phase" where I cut out a solid 90% of the footage to leave only the parts I might use

starting to get into the habit of doing video editing as I go instead of all at once after a playthrough, so now I edit for like 2 hours at a time between gameplay sessions instead of for 20 hours after the end of a playthrough

also I'm pretty sure only my game crashes when my whole PC used to crash

I am still not used to how much faster linux loads stuff

the only issues I'm having now are games failing to recognize a random selection of auxiliary mouse buttons (middle click, side buttons)
Terraria doesn't like side buttons, armored core 6 doesn't like middle click

today has gone pretty well so far
I got GPU drivers installed (kinda scary with nvidia on linux) and also fixed a wifi issue caused by power saving
