Followed up with my doctor this morning and because my symptoms are worsening they managed to squeeze me in tomorrow. Check in time is 5am, procedure is at 7am. Can’t wait to get my heart working properly.

The term they used was sudden cardiac death. It’s fuckkng awesome and I hate US Healthcare. Let’s both make it alive until they can fix this shit.

You have all of my sympathies. I have a major blockage that won’t be cleared until 3/24 because of insurance. I’m at such high risk my cardiologist told me zero physical activity until this is cleared.

I was a huge Schilling fan as a kid. The Dbacks won the World Series my senior year. Curt Schilling is one of my favorite baseballs players. He is also one of my least favorite people in general.

I’ve been having bad night sweats lately. Sweating to the point my blanket and clothes are soaked through. Happened about 2am along either side of tingling in my hands and face, like they were asleep. Tests were okay, which is good, but no real answer as to what is going on.

So you’re telling me the people (and I use that term loosely) who treat immigrants like they were terrorists, abuse and neglect the vulnerable, and have murdered at least two people don’t care enough about their prisoners to provide basic medical care?

This is my shocked face.

There have certainly been some ups and downs but we’ve done our best and I’m looking forward to another twenty six years.

Of our friend group four couples married their high school sweethearts. Two of them were ended by infidelity and the other is still going strong.

I wish there was some secret to share, but I got lucky enough to marry my best friend.

Twenty six years ago I kissed a girl under the flagpole after lunch and the rest, is history.

We were each other’s firsts. We were practically babies when we met and we did everything together. Graduated high school, got our own place, went to college, got married, and had babies of our own.

Thankfully I was able to repay her in part. After our son was born I was making enough money to support a five person household (barely made it) so my wife was able to be a stay at home mom until my son was ready for kindergarten.

A small piece of placenta and she developed a nasty infection and needed a D&C but she was up and around a few days later. When she was carrying our son she started having contractions at 5 months. They lasted the entire pregnancy and my wife still went to work every day. She’s tough as nails.

Plus she supports me with my chronic pain even though she suffers from Trigeminal neuralgia. She was in labor with our oldest for 20 hours. By the time she was born we had been awake for 60+ hours and I was wrecked but she was going strong. When my younger daughter was born the doctor missed…

My wife is my literal hero. Since 2017 I’ve had back and hernia surgery, a heart attack, and I spent a week in the hospital with septic shock from walking pneumonia.

So now I have to go all weekend worrying about my heart. Going to live on edibles and God of War Ragnarok to distract me from the metric fuck ton of anxiety I’m dealing with over the whole thing.

I called them this and they can’t get me in any earlier. The only thing they would tell me over the phone was that my results were abnormal and if I have any chest pain between now and Tuesday I have to immediately go to the ER. Not even the nearest ER to me, they want me at a specific hospital.

The cardiologist office actually called me on Monday. They left a voicemail asking if I could come in sooner to discuss my results. I had a migraine all week and didn’t see the voicemail until yesterday.

I had a heart attack about 7 years ago. I’ve been having really bad heartburn, nausea, and night sweats recently. Same symptoms right before the heart attack so my doctor did a stress test on Thursday and I have a follow up this coming Tuesday.

This is why I don’t let my kids use slang in the house. I’d rather them say hell, damn, and shit before they say skibidi toilet or whatever else they pick up online and at school.

It feels weird to watch the kids of pro players play professionally now. Keith Tkachuk and Shane Doan were my favorites as a kid and now their kids are pros. 💀

I can almost guarantee they're going to do an angio as soon as possible. Hopefully there aren't any major blockages, but if they find one they can stent it before it can become an issue.

Whenever I grab string cheese the cats demand their tribute so I usually grab two.

We’ve been renting for the last 4 years or so and unless there is a housing market crash, I’m not sure we’ll be able to purchase another place.

My wife and I bought a house in 2007 for 192k. In 2009 it was only worth about 80k. It was affordable and accessible though so we stuck it out. In 2022 we were able to sell and make about 80k.

So I got my undergrad BA in History with minors in Secondary Education and after a few years I ended up switching gears and got a Masters in Software Engineering. I think having that BA made me a better writer, researcher, and communicator and those skills helped me progress greatly in my career.
