The book doesn't talk about religion and that's why I'm reading it: I think it's time to explore how religious women can also be neoliberal feminist subjects, especially when they create business and communities online as influencers.

I want to apply for an ERC.
I tell people I want to develop my research idea, but maybe I want my own gang of postdocs and phds and even if they donโt exist yet I know theyโd be the coolest gang in the department

How to be a woman in politics?
Very happy that my article with @genderedform.bsky.social , analyzing the responses to Italian PM Giorgia Meloni's posts, has been published by Critical Discourse Studies

for some was a great hope of change; others regard it with nostalgia.
And you, what do you want? Women priests, or Latin mass?
More at: www.vaticannews.va/en/vatican-c... #Vatican #Church #Catholic #catholicfaith #catholicism
Other than the mass in vernacular, the Church became closer to the people and more open to other denominations.
I notice that Catholics may regard the Second Vatican Council in different ways:
What's the Second Vatican Council, and why it's important?
Before the 1960s, the mass used to be in Latin, and laypeople were less involved in the Church.
What changed? Between 1962 and 1965, the Catholic Church underwent an "aggiornamento", an update.
Whatโs written here?
The owner of the store gave me strawberries in this bag. Heโs from Sri Lanka. Now Iโm super curious to know what it says but Google Translate is no help
Do you want to submit a paper to the digital religion panel Iโm co-organizing?
Letโs go to #EUARE2026 in Rome!

Daughter: โmy doll is being mean to meโ
Me: โweโll ground her!โ
Daughter: โno, you should kindly talk to her and make her understand what she did wrongโ
This is what gentle parenting does, I cannot even get mad at a doll anymore.
Taking with other female academics it is still evident how strange it is to move to another country for research and have a male partner following โฆ
the model is still that of the male academic doing fieldwork/visitings either leaving family behind or having a partner whoโs a housewife

But will it last, and will it be the only AI-generated religion? Hard to say, but fascinating to follow.

Can AI create a religion?
Apparently, this happened with the Church of Molt, or Crustafarianism. Created by an AI agent, with 64 AI prophets, it looks like a crossover between Christianity and Crustaceans.

Just read: โthe silent patientโ by Alex Michaelidis. I made the terrible mistake of approaching the ending of this book at night, so I had to stay up finishing it and I was too terrified to sleep afterwards. Itโs the tragedy of the โAlcestiโ made psychological thriller. I loved it so much.

- Users believing that the algorithm has a magical quality to send them the right content for their spiritual growth.
What do you think? Is the Internet magical?
But other interesting examples come to mind:
- People promoting manifesting and claiming that the energy of the Internet helps us obtain what we want
- Influencers healing people by touching the screen and inviting others to do the same
So, can we talk about magic in digital religion?
There are several people who sell spells or practice magic online, for instance with the hashtag #witchtok.
Is the Internet magical?
I was faced with this question as I was invited to give a talk in Rome at La Sapienza by Marinella Ceravolo who's doing a project about magic. it was also great to see Alessandra Vitullo who's expert in digital religion.
Bad Bunny naming every country in America was such a power move
