Yes, it was refreshing to see her exclaim very frankly & honestly how jealous she was of Luo Ningzi - but rather than let it poison her, she turned it into admiration & potentially friendship (fingers crossed 🤞)

I feel I’ve seen the actress before, but I may be getting confused with a Korean actor

But the part I like most so far is the developing friendship with Luo Ningzi

At first I thought they were going to be arch rivals & enemies (there’s still a lot of story left, so it may still be the case); but I was happy to see Luo Ningzi’s cold personality begin to thaw & mutual respect between

I was curious to see what it was like, so I pressed play & watched the first two episodes - & I like it 🙂

It has a slight #ALoveSoBeautiful feel to it - a nice group of friends, with the FL Yi Lan getting support from the sometimes gruff looking but sweet A student ML Tong Xiaole

I was just scrolling down to read & didn’t expect to come across mog! ☺️

So, in summary, yes the drama was far from perfect - but it was a much more emotional ride than I had expected going in 🙂

But yes, through Wang Cuihua/Wangyin’s inspiration, he made it out of his psychological shadow, & became a good Emperor 👍

So part of his Emperor tyrant role was pure performance, but part of it was part of who he has grown up to be - which was quite a psychological shock to realise at first

He really did get messed up in his head, so the tyrannical moments were a real potential for his character
