The scenes involving pigs use a mixture of cgi & real footage, so there’s a certain audience distancing that takes place - meaning it doesn’t feel completely real

Yes - I’m also looking forward to the next phase, where it seems likely we will see more characters involved directly in the story (I love the way that separate school/college arc - or whatever it is - has been teased & slowly introduced) 🙂

She’s diminutive in stature, but a total boss when it comes to beating up bad guys 😄

As for him, once he recovers from his wounds he will be her martial equal - but I’m quite intrigued with how he will square his marriage to her with his official position in court (once he resumes it)

Trust me, you won’t drop this one for the time being! ☺️ I’m caught up on episodes (7 are out), & episode 8 can’t come quickly enough! - so if it’s going to be droppable, you won’t feel it just yet 😉

It’s interesting that while Xie Zheng has definite suspicions about her family, & the assassins clearly know something, she seems to be unaware of the connections her family may have to power

She seems to be the only one in the dark (I’m guessing her parents wanted it that way, to protect her)

& mutual badass boss-ness that we are hopefully going to see come together in a major way as the story develops 🔥 ⚡️

He’s a matrilocal husband… so, technically? 😅

But he’s also very injured & undercover - so while he’s actually very respectful & dutiful & sweet towards the girl boss, he’s also an actual boy boss! - so their dynamic has a mix of genuine matrilocal respect (from him to her), respect from her to him

I just realised you may have been referring to the recent drama #UnveilJadewind ?

I liked it: it’s super atmospheric & has a brooding crime solving ambience - it’s a historical palace detective story

But while I personally liked it, there’s no doubt #PursuitofJade is the superior drama 👍
