Thanks! It was definitely one of the goals, to show a general audience the process of researching someone through lots of little clues. This first round is actually more of an exception to the rule, having found actual resources at Guelph Museum late in the going, and another with active family.

In 1894 a young girl memorialized her visit to the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights. Major-General Sir Isaac Brock died in this 1812 victory against invading Americans which helped establish Canadian self-identity.
