And to be clear, Libertarianism with regards to functionality of government is the current driving ideology of the GOP. These new MAGA reps don’t have any interest in anything working. This isn’t a disagreement on how we get to a common goal.

If they don’t want a functioning government, they shouldn’t be working for the government! This is pretty simple. You wouldn’t make me the General Manager of the Boston Celtics!

But then it morphs into people who are actively hostile to the idea of government. Which makes less sense but not wholesale looney tunes. The problem comes when these people are actually elected to power.

Libertarianism is interesting to me because on the surface level of a lot of the complaints, it makes sense. Yes obviously there is wasteful government spending. Sure there are times when we should have more freedom to do what we want without restriction.
