I learned about this by reading a poorly executed novel (The Lost Girls of Willowbrook) that I had to put down because it felt like gratuitous wump. I didn't realize how much research the author put into it. God.

so unintentionally for disability pride month I learned about Willowbrook State School. And I think it is definitely a part of history people should be more aware about.

Like, I knew about the forced sterilization/eugenics stuff going on back in the day. I did a paper on it about ten years ago
