So, my time at BioWare has ended. It was a wild ride with some fantastic people, but it’s time to look for new challenges. I’m an Editor / Writer with 26+ years of experience across video games, novels, short stories, newspapers, and marketing comms. If you know of a good fit, please let me know.

Layoffs are a failure of leadership. Period.

Staffing changes and cuts should start from the top down, and ought to be prioritizing listening to the folks who actually make things over shareholders & executives who know fuck-all about making things but retain position despite culpability.

I'm now looking for a new writing/narrative position. It's been a privilege to work with so many amazing devs over my 20 years at BioWare, and I will cherish the memories of the wonderful folks in the community I've met along the way. Thank you all.

i'm genuinely so angry and sad over how the video game industry has developed, but the truth is that it's gotten this bad in pretty much every industry

really hope the everyone at bioware who's been laid off knows how hard we're rooting for them. there's been a lot of hate and vitriol thrown their way but anyone with average intelligence can look at what ea execs are pulling and recognise that devs and writers are obviously not the fucking problem

we should bring back witchcraft that curses entire bloodlines

ive been sitting on the ff7 remake menu screen for half an hour just vibing to the music. i swear they put crack in final fantasy osts

would've felt significantly less silly had i just googled the date like a normal person

just took off my blue crewneck to check what eras show someone went to based on the date only to realise it doesn't even have the dates on it

the panic guilt and fear i feel whenever i accidentally steal my squad's loot like i swear i didn't mean to this wasn't me it was my muscle memory

in veilguard cc making a dalish veil jumper..... i've literally never made a traditional dalish protag. arachne is technically dalish?? but she's very much Not woodsy so i genuinely forget about her dalish roots a lot. this one however......,, lots of brown lots of green lots of nature very dalish

nisaea and bellara often sit in front of the fireplace in the kitchen and do each other's hair before bed. i imagine lucanis would be nearby to witness their little ritual so he'd get her hair oil :)
