It’s all β€œreportedly” when it is the other side. No doubts ever expressed about Israeli or other casualties caused by their victims defending themselves.

Yep, she has rescued several greyhounds.

"President Trump's strike on the Islamic Republic, Operation β€˜Epic Fury’, seeks to remove the Iranian regime's monopoly of violence."

Because ever more people using violence is what every country needs.

Greenpeace were judging them against their own pledges.

According to who, & why do you believe them? In a country of 93 million you’ll find some who are. But the idea that there is one mind among those 93 million is absurd. I suspect many more are just terrified about what comes next both from outside and from within. And you won’t see them on any media.

The Labour government – our assessment 1 year on | Friends of the Earth One year after the last general election, Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace assess how the Labour government has performed on climate and nature action.

Agreed. As Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace noted last summer. friendsoftheearth.uk/system-chang...

Try actually reading the article at the top of this thread. This is yet another issue on which the Labour Together bunch have been driving the party ever further from what people who were once core Labour voters want.

It may not be by definition racist, but I have never in my life heard anyone making that argument without then coming out with virulently racist comments.

Certainly not when the war is illegal and they are committing war crimes instead of refusing illegal orders.

Hacker Gary McKinnon will not face UK charges Computer hacker Gary McKinnon, whose extradition to the US was blocked, will not face charges in the UK, bringing to an end a 10-year legal battle

He made them clear in the Gary McKinnon case, where his attempt to extradite an autistic hacker to the US was only stopped by the greater compassion of Theresa May. This is part of why I have opposed him since before he was an MP. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-2073...

Yeah. They have. You can’t claim credit for paying lip service to a goal when you have reneged on the policies needed to achieve it.

And I am sure if we ask nicely, climate change will agree to pause until it is financially convenient for us to deal with it.

01.03.2026 14:13 β€” πŸ‘ 7    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

No. Completely wrong. WTF business is it of Trump who governs Iran?

David Miliband | The IRC David Miliband, President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee, is a former Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom. As the son of refugees, he brings a personal commitment to the IRC's work.

Wot, David Miliband’s lot? www.rescue.org/uk/david-mil...

Because he is bought and paid for by a foreign power and is part of a Government acting in extreme bad faith against this country’s interests.

Which bit of β€œwe will not commit a war crime” do you find so awful?

01.03.2026 11:25 β€” πŸ‘ 7    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Nor will the loved ones of the hundred little girls we have just blown to pieces.

01.03.2026 11:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You can ALWAYS RULE OUT COMMITTING THE GRAVEST CRIME OF A WAR OF AGGRESSION.

01.03.2026 11:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You can rule out participating in war crimes. Any politician who won’t should be locked up for life.

01.03.2026 11:13 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Refusing to rule out participating in the ultimate war crime is pure evil. No politician should have a problem doing that.

01.03.2026 11:12 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Why? This conflict does not engage any British interests whatsoever. The only thing we should be fighting for is for Trump and Netanyahu being brought to account for their mass murdering evil.

01.03.2026 11:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Hell no.

Saying you refuse to take part in an illegal war of aggression, the ultimate crime, is not being a liability. It should be the unwavering default position of every single person seeking to lead the country.

01.03.2026 11:08 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You can’t deliberately put yourself in harm’s way and then claim self-defence.

01.03.2026 10:31 β€” πŸ‘ 11    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Quite. Could just be more schools for all we know. Meanwhile why say Iran β€œclaims” to have hit US bases? That should be easily verifiable.

01.03.2026 10:30 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Trying to. But less successfully. First, they don't have his own party sticking the knife in. Secondly, we've been inoculated against it by what they did to Corbyn.

Frankly, I think the Greens are the establishment's last chance for the necessary recalibration to happen peacefully. "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable."
