Shoresy! Love that show. After enough sustained watching, you start to figure out that underneath the unflinchingly vulgar, rude humor, it’s very pro-Native and pro-women. Strong, assertive women in particular. And, you know, hockey!

Dear All: I appreciate the mass-emailing of the Milwaukee Common Council in support of Ice Out MKE legislation. As a former elected person, I found these mass-email campaigns numbed my support for good causes. Astroturfing alders and staff is much less effective than are individual calls and emails.

I saw them here in 1995 at the Bardley Center. I hope this show is epic!

Not enough people know how he drastically reduced and permanently undermined funding for affordable housing, both in terms of stock and development. His policies and actions made life much, much harder for people of lower means.

Yeah, that bites. The south side kept most of its pools as the north lost a vast majority of its pools over the past 30 years. (Gee I wonder why...) Still, pools are terribly expensive to maintain, much less improve. Holler Park pool closed in 2019; it's been razed, or soon will be. #steadydrip

I have yet to find out how much garlic is “too much garlic.” I’m sure there’s a point, but I’ll leave it to the imagination.

Green leaves and white stems of a baby bok choi plant conceal the brown rice and beige chicken, all soaking in the yellow broth. It’s all in an off-white bowl that’s resting in a marble surface. Enjoy!

Chicken and rice soup with ginger and turmeric. I feel like this is the dish that really got me going with cooking a few years ago. A long time ago I learned that doubling the amount of garlic and ginger often makes every recipe with those ingredients even better.

Lord we miss having Eze at Palace. Ah well!
