an outdoor blllboard There will never be a bell loud enough, a helmet strong enough, or clothing bright enough to make up for poor infrastructure. Picture of child biking in a painted bike lane
Enough.
Awesome to see this billboard up in Vancouver.
Was really incredible to work with the people at @visionzerovancouver.ca to bring this to life.

Walesβs 20mph speed limit has cut road deaths. Why is there still even a debate?
Research suggests the scheme may be more popular than thought, with consultations dominated by a loud minority
Walesβ 20mph (~30kph) speed limit saved livesβabout 100 fewer deaths and serious injuries in just one year. Slower speeds make streets safer for everyone. Vancouver must follow suit. How many lives will we sacrifice before we take action?

To Vancouver Cycling advocates: we need to band together and purchase a small plow for our bike routes. The city NEVER plows the bike streets or paths and for days to weeks after the chunky ice makes cycling hazardous. Iβll volunteer as driver!

Canadaβs response to U.S. tariffs. Justin Trudeau's best speech.
Canada will place 25% tariffs on $155 billion in US imports in retaliation for Trump tariffs. That is an addition to a nationwide boycott on all US products across Canada. #cdnpoli #tariffwar

Wicked, while an amazing musical adaptation, is also a fantastic portrayal of a magical world where they only have bikes, trains and walkable (danceable) cities.
Oh, and balloons too I guess.

What if We Got Rid of Bike Lanes?
A reminder that bikes donβt cause traffic, cars do. Taking out lanes (Iβm looking at you Ontario) is not suddenly going to make any of your traffic woes better.

I dream about the day Vancouver switches from majority cars to majority bikes. Paris is such a great example of runaway urbanism and Iβm here for it.

French Revolution: Cyclists Now Outnumber Motorists In Paris
Official measurements have found that Paris is rapidly becoming a city of cyclists.
READ: β3,337 Parisians were equipped with GPS trackers to record their journeysβ¦for journeys from the outskirts of Paris to the center, the number of cyclists now far exceeds the number of motorists, a huge change from just 5 years ago.β
Evidence of leadership.

I love the runaway urbanism/walkability of Paris happening. It seems like cities hit some threshold that allows them to go from incremental changes to major culture shifts like this without major opposition. I hope anywhere in NA reaches that threshold one day.
