We have enjoyed counting different collections of objects this week, using different resources to help us and recording our thinking.

We enjoyed revisiting the woods this week and photographing notable features to make our own map back in class.

*NURSERY* Good morning! 👋 It’s a chilly morning today. We kindly ask our wee ones bring a warm jacket, hat & gloves each day as we love to explore our garden in all weathers. Nursery has spare items for anyone who needs them. Take care travelling to nursery. See everyone soon! 😀

*NURSERY* Yesterday we emptied our Autumn bags on the tuff tray outdoors. We discovered lots of interesting Autumn items and had a good discussion about the different items. ‘That’s jaggy’ ‘I brought pine cones’ ‘The stick is long’ ‘Soft’ ‘I went to a park’ ‘I got these just at my house’ 🍁 🍃 🍂

Great being back with this hard working group! We are focusing on mastering our subtraction skills this mornin.

It was so inspiring to hear from Educators talking so passionately about the importance of Froebel. Fiona Anderson shared the importance for educators to have time to observe and reflect on our children through play is so powerful! A very enjoyable night.

Had the privilege of attending The book launch - The power of Froebel in Early Childhood Education by Lynn McNair and Luke Addison, featuring amazing practice across Scotland. This features a chapter on some of the work Donna Green has led and inspired. 💛
