I can't believe that one of our boxing legends has passed. So young as well. I loved watching him box. An unrelenting boxer who showed courage, explosive, gifted and heroic performances in the ring. A truly sad day for sport.

Not often I get the chance to get a bus around the airport to the aircraft. But thanks to a 1 hour+ delay, change of gate and aircraft that's what we did.

A cat we called Limpy is sitting on the bonnet of a parked blue Porsche 911 Carrera. Behind the car is some green foliage. The photo was taken from our balcony looking down towards the car, and the cat.

Some cats have expensive taste in cars! This cat is so talkative. You cannot get a word in. He lives in the complex where we live when in Istanbul. Always happy to see us each year. Nickname 'Limpy' by my kids, as when a kitten he had a limp. Not anymore happily.

While at the Koç Museum today we found a cat asleep in one of the prams that formed part of a collection.

So I met this chap outside a shop. He is apparently well known there as everyone in the area looks after him. The shop keeper was laughing when I asked about him! He was in such good condition. The cat, not the shopkeeper. #caturday #photography

A display of Cat themed trays. They are metal and have a different take on some famous art styles but with cats.

Outside the old Besitas Ferry Pier in Istanbul there is a bookshop that sells these wonderful cat themed trays. I haven't decided which one yet but will definitely be going back to get one or more! #cats #caturday #photography #art

The lizard in the image appears to be a common house gecko (Hemidactylus frenatus), or a closely related species from the Hemidactylus genus. These geckos are small, nocturnal lizards

Found this little gecko on the wall this morning. He hardly moved all day and appeared to be shedding parts of skin.

Chicken Shish served on a white round plate. The chicken is served on a thin layer of bread. To the side is a portion of pilau rice, and a salad made from onions and tomatoes finely chopped one the other. There is also a grilled red chilli that was tasty but extremely hot!

Had a fantastic dinner last night at Alioğlu Restaurant.
I thought I would try Chicken Shish as I haven't had it for a long time. It was fantastic. Chicken cooked to perfection.

I am not really a rat person but they do look cute!

My Turkish Black Cat friend greets me before I leave. The cat is on a stone wall with shrubs and foliage to the side.

Yesterday when I left our apartment my little 'cat-selfie' friend was waiting to greet me again! A very friendly cat.
The cats here are very lucky as everyone in the area looks out for them, food, water etc.
They have so much space and lovely shaded areas.

This little cat of Istanbul was so friendly it wanted to take its own selfie yesterday!
It was also very chatty and would not let me leave.
