Definitely noted! I can get how it can be confusing. Journalists try not to speak in the definitive when describing future events because you never know what can happen. So while I'd say I'm pretty positive his resignation will be accepted, it's not 100% set in stone at this point.

@audaciousness.bsky.social I have never seen a board vote against a resignation. It's mainly a procedural step, just as the board approves the resignations/retirements/hirings of employees. It also starts the timer on a 30-day window to appoint a new member to fill the vacancy.
