Thoughts on the Rethinking Peer Review panel session at #R2RConf.
Across the alternative approaches shared there was a clear intention:
make the journey to editors more efficient, reduce wasted effort, and give authors clearer, faster outcomes without repeated cycles of submission and rejection.

We sponsored a lively roundtable at the #R2RConf this week, exploring how peer review could work better for researchers.

One comment struck a chord. Peer review is human behaviour. It is subjective. There is no single standard. Different reviewers will always see different things.
