As I was drifting off to bed last night, a phrase kept repeating in my head. I thought that could make a great song lyric. Did I write it down or yell out to Siri to record it? No. My dumb ass thought I could do that in the morning. Now I can’t remember what it was. 🤦🏼‍♂️

It feels like a Pink Floyd “Animals” kind of day.

I just made a bet with a good friend on the Bears/Packers game. The loser needs to drink a shot of Malört. Pretty sure I’m safe, but she’s not going to speak to me for a while for multiple reasons. 🤪

Faith and I are playing catch in the backyard to get ready to play catch at Wrigley Field next month. The glove she is using hasn’t been used in probably 20 years. It was my old little league glove. The Rick Sutcliffe model. My glove is much newer but hasn’t been used in 10 years.

Started my Sunday waking up at 6:10am due to a false smoke alarm. Feeling very fortunate my 12 year old was able to go right back to sleep. I am not so lucky.

Had to get out for a run this morning before the heat sets in and the festivities start. Random intervals today because my running stamina isn’t there yet.

I knew this day would come but I didn’t know it would be this soon.
