Apparently this is an actual obsolete English expression I'd never heard. Kind of a banger, spoken to a character defending an obvious villain just because he thinks it's his righteous duty to uphold the status quo. You should not, in fact, hold a candle for the devil.

Dang, casually assumed it had just been over-edited, but should have caught it. Feathers look strange, light is flattened unnaturally even for a gray day, the bokeh looks odd. Forever grateful for people watching like hawks AND posting reasons/comparisons.

Weird too cause I saw an Amazon truck/driver very much NOT chucking boxes into the landscaping about an hour beforehand. Who knows!

Well I spotted an Amazon package in the bushes??? by the gate and took it to the right address... but there was a realtor lock box on the door and no one answered. Left it with a note. Guess I go back later and see if it's still there? No clue what it is but weight-wise felt expensive.
