I need to be better about backing up, too.

Shocked to be in my 84th year. Lifelong blue voter, though I don't post or comment about politics, just cats, nature, photos, gardens, food. Buddhist, lapsed meditator, but still trying (often failing) to live the teachings of the Dhamma. Go Ducks!
I need to be better about backing up, too.
06.03.2026 20:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Great! Having just been through my own computer drama, I understand how harrowing the thought of losing a big and important file can be.
06.03.2026 20:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Heβs the best.
06.03.2026 20:07 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Even better.
06.03.2026 18:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs a lot of cookies. Big cookies.
06.03.2026 18:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0North Georgia, granted, but near Atlanta so plenty hot. πΉ
06.03.2026 18:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hah!
06.03.2026 18:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm Georgia born and bred. I love hot weather!
06.03.2026 18:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm envious! Bean looks happy, though.
06.03.2026 17:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sounds more like a made-up word, to me. I spotted it quickly, but didn't believe it would work when I entered it.
06.03.2026 17:20 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting! It sure looks and sounds the same. There isn't much of it right now, but sounds like it could be a problem.
06.03.2026 17:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think it would be, with more seeds to grow and usable multiple years (the lamps, anyway). Would really have been useful when I struggled with all my previous efforts.
06.03.2026 17:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Either Iβve never passed by here at the right time before, or I just never saw them, but these are completely new to me. Only on one short stretch. Small, with heart-shaped leaves similar to violets but definitely not violets.
Red flowering currant. Lots of these around, and always welcome every spring.
Another foggy morning walk, along the river this time. Spotted an old familiar pink blossom, and a new yellow blossom that intrigued me.
06.03.2026 17:10 β π 19 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Of course!
06.03.2026 16:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good idea. I need a different arrangement next year, that's for sure. I didn't want to spend much money for two tomato plants right now. So far, they're doing fine, but for how long?
06.03.2026 16:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hah! How dare you disturb her sleep!
06.03.2026 16:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Usually I was fine with it at the retreats, but sometimes it would be frustrating. I didn't have a smartphone but I would miss my computer and internet! I think the longest I went without it was about 3 weeks.
06.03.2026 15:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0He is that!
06.03.2026 15:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you!
06.03.2026 15:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good for you! Not sure I could do that without being in a place where it was required, such as the many Buddhist meditation retreats I've attended. No cell phones or computers, ever.
06.03.2026 15:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was a real night owl much of my life, though I usually got up early and survived on little sleep. Somewhere along the line, that changed. It's been years since I've been able to stay awake late.
06.03.2026 15:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I rarely got up at 2 or 3am before a certain kitten arrived in my life. Like a fool, I took the easy way out and got up to feed him then. I get a 6-7 hour window, which requires sleep at 7 or 8pm, but does make the days drag.
06.03.2026 15:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bummer! Damn computers rule our lives.
06.03.2026 15:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nicely done! Most of us don't use those (when I was a kid in Georgia they were called chifferobes, we weren't very fancy) for clothes anymore.
06.03.2026 15:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you!
06.03.2026 15:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks, Pekka. That coast offers up infinite opportunities!
06.03.2026 15:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cape Ferraro, c2009. Hilly and rocky foreground with lots of scrubby plants and grasses. Easy walking, with nice views.
An old favorite for #Scape day. Walking along Cape Ferraro, or it's approach, on the southern Oregon coast. #photography

06.03.2026 13:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe. Spencer doesn't do this often, thank goodness, especially the meowing. The other tricks are normal, though generally not so early. I wish I had a basement, though sometimes he gets timeout in his roomy, comfy carrier.
06.03.2026 13:29 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Indeed. But then again, I appreciate the peace. He wins again! πΉ
