I was thinking of those too! I think she'd be able to handle the level of violence in Hunger Games since the plot is so strong, but for instance a new Nora Roberts was too much. Or for instance the child abuse in 'Salem's Lot. I wanted to recommend Maze Runner as well, but haven't read them yet.
