The bookies, using their clever regression-based modelling, appear to be expecting a predictable farce.
Never seen odds like this for cards.
19/10 for a penalty
23/10 for a red card

Takes a fair bit of getting used to this whole non-mental-political-news-from-England thing.

Very sad news about Rob Grant, who, along with Doug Naylor created the long running comedy series Red Dwarf.
He passed away on Wednesday, Rob was a very funny man with a talent for stinging reposts.

The word β€˜sectarianism’ is universally used to equate the disparate and put the blame on the β€˜sect’ without power.
If everyone else can start to have it thrown at them for not liking the fash, I’d actually feel the world pull closer.

My main man’s a bit jittery.
Barks at everything but I’m sure he’ll settle down.

I’ve always wanted to use Storkie as a band name but never gotten enough members (tee-hee) to agree to it and I probably never will.

I sat on an absolute belter of a John Davidson joke yesterday and, even though it was beyond reproach taste-wise, it was absolutely the right shout to shut up.
Like a perfect poker fold.
I appreciate the inherent irony in this post.

It’s a domestic animal, though, and I’m defenceless against their cute wiles.

My eldest daughter’s queer-coded play is happening in Edinburgh this week - it’s called Mr & Mrs Beard if you’re in the environs.
Long story short, due to my in laws attending and someone I’ve never met being in hospital, I’m looking after a spaniel later this week - I better not get too attached.

I miss the nicotine stain effect of sodium lighting.
No wish to bring it back or anything but urbanity, in my head, is forever yellow.

I've posted a few 8-string basses on here, but I didn't know RIckenbacker had made any until today. This is one of two 8-string 4001 prototypes they made in 1974. Both of them have the same basic setup as the regular 4001 model. The bridge pickup is one of their massive horseshoes, and the neck pickup is smaller. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control, and there's also a 3-way switch. The difference between the two models is the way they're strung. Chris Squire's is set up with the octave strings above the bass strings like on Rickenbacker's 12-string guitars (in other words, eEaAdDgG), and John Entwistle's (the one in the picture above) is set up with the octave strings below the bass strings (EeAaDdGg). The weirdest part of the guitar is the wavy 4/4 split headstock. I've seen it referred to as a potato or a frog foot, and I can see the resemblance to both.

In terms of Tifo opportunities, this could be an all-timer.

For a month of Sundays
Burn the town where I was born

Fuck me, man. Whit a tune.

I haven’t received ashes in over 30 years but that’s because I naturally get stigmata every Ash Wednesday when St Michael uses me as a Seraphim trumpet to speak to the people like Joan of Arc.
Also, I’m an atheist.
